A child makes a sandcastle & the Sea wash it away. Swinging on a rope over the lake from a tree branch. Feeling the butterflies in the tummy. A Bungee jump from a serious height can be the Adventure of a lifetime.

For me Exploring the Nature in my surroundings, Mountains, Beaches,Caves, Villages, Food from different Cultures, I can go on forever. :) Are great Adventures.

One of my  most beautiful adventure was when I went to Brazil 2000, for the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. (too commercial for my taste.) So I ended up in the North-East of Brazil. Closer to the original culture & native Indians of Amazon.

Living at a Posada, (small family hotel) close to the Sea & the Forest, where small monkeys came out at night to search for humans leftover in the bins. Watch the fishermen rolling their flat bottom boats on tree trunks out in the tide to paddle out to lay their nets. Travel along the shores for mils & mils without a footprint to be seen. Just Nature as far as you can see.

5 weeks went far too fast. My visions are still very clear. I hope to return one day

I went to Recife for the Carnivale :)  The Catholic religion in Italy started the tradition of holding a wild costume festival right before the first day of Lent. Because Catholics are not supposed to eat meat during Lent, they called their festival, carnival — which means “to put away the meat.” As time passed, carnivals in Italy became quite famous; and in fact the practice spread to France, Spain, and all the Catholic countries in Europe. Then as the French, Spanish, and Portuguese began to take control of the Americas and other parts of the world, they brought with them their tradition of celebrating carnival.
