This Green Loggerhead turtle was found on the beach. Too weak to be able to swim & eat. The Marine Biologist came to take some samples to try to figure out what was wrong. This was the third one found this spring. Turtles get sick from plastic items, pollution,hooks from fisherman's tools & so much more. Only 1 out of 4000 will become an adult. There are too many danger in their environment. It takes up to 30 years before a turtle is fertile & comes back to mate & lay the eggs. So the chance to make it, is extremely low.

I found out that she died in the end. She had swallowed a float from a drift net. There is no way to help a turtle if they have swallowed something because they can't make an operation to take it out. The shell won't be healing & close the cut.

What can we Humans do to help the Nature & these Beautiful creatures ?

We can start to take care & act. Take responsibilities for our polluting Action & Reaction.
